As a community club, we are acutely aware of how difficult the last few months have been for many families.
We are all committed to getting back to football safely from the 29th March and to focus on our young players so they can have some “football fun” over the coming weeks. Whether it be training, friendlies, round robin(s) or small events, we will do our best to get everyone playing football – subject to Government and FA advice.
You may be aware that the NYCL have already made the decision to void all leagues and have intimated they are planning to continue some cup competitions. We are waiting for the NW&GL to confirm their intentions.
In recognition of the unique circumstances of this season, we have decided to automatically credit every youth player (who has paid their fees in full) with £35 towards next season’s overall payment**. This represents just over 40% of the training fees. If you feel you are able to donate all or part of this credit to the club funds, we would be extremely grateful. Please email email@example.com for us to remove your planned credit by 31st May (ideally ASAP).
As a volunteer organisation, it is worth highlighting our costs have remained broadly similar for the season, with the majority of our income historically coming from player fees, summer tournaments and the generosity of the local business sponsors and advertisers.
