Sunday Under 18s starting to gel

Aylsham Sunday Under 18s have started to click as a squad in recent weeks leading to their most impressive performance of the season last weekend away at Newton Flotman.

The side was without four key players (Gaskin, Clark, Harrision and Broughton) but this gave an opportunity for others to shine.

From the first minute Aylsham dominated their opponents with Roger in goal having few saves to make for the full 90 minutes, although his excellent distribution of the ball started many attacks.

Derazza and Gauntlet played together up front for the first time together and linked up well, whilst the back four of Mountain, Waller, Hales and Adams held firm to keep a clean sheet.

Manager Ben Adams said: “All the hard work paid off today and it was great to see some fantastic teamwork, the way we bossed the midfield with Draper and Wright with Harris on the left was a delight to watch.

“The link up between Mountain and Goddard was impressive as was the dominant display of Waller and Hales.

“We have worked hard and it’s great to see the boys enjoying themselves and to come away with a 4-0 win was just what we needed to push on.” He added.

The goals came from Waller, Wright, Hales and Cater.

The team, sponsored by Arnold Keys, now sit 5th in the under 18 table.
