New Buckenham kicked off proceedings and found themselves under pressure early on as Aylsham closed the ball down quickly. The home side took the lead in the 2nd minute after a perfectly weighted through-ball by Josh sent Alfie clear and his first time shot from the edge of the area flew past the keeper to make it 1-0 to Aylsham. Straight from the restart Josh won the ball back in midfield and played it wide to Ollie on the right who did really well to keep the ball in before finding Alfie on the edge of the area. A neat drop of the shoulder and a deft touch provided enough space for Alfie to shoot and score his and his team’s second goal going in off the post. Two minutes later Mitchy put in a dangerous corner that Ollie headed back across goal with Josh just unable to flick the ball home.

A lovely move started by Loz at the back moved the ball up the field with Denver, Jude and Josh creating a chance for Alfie but a great piece of defending cleared for a corner. Mitchy’s centre was headed just wide by Jude as Aylsham continued on the offensive. Jude and Adam combined well to create a shooting opportunity for Freddy that the keeper held well. A long ball from a New Buckenham player got the visitors into an advanced position but the cross just evaded the onrushing striker at the back post.

A quick throw-in by Adam on the left found Josh in space and he tried his luck from distance but the ball dropped agonisingly over the bar. In the 10th minute Aylsham almost scored again after Josh’s cross was met by Alfie but his powerful header was brilliantly parried over by the New Buckenham keeper. From the corner the home side scored their third with a well taken goal. Mitchy’s centre was cleared out to the edge of the area where Ollie lifted it back into the box. The ball fell to Adam who controlled and shielded well before turning sharply to finish into the corner.

In the 14th minute it was 4-0 with Alfie completing his hat-trick. A New Buckenham goal kick was headed into Alfie’s path by Mitchy with Alfie striking it on the volley, finding the back of the net via a slight deflection that wrong-footed the unfortunate keeper. In the 16th minute Jack and Jaiden came on for Ollie and Freddy. Denver and Josh linked up well to move the ball to Jude and his first time through-ball set Jack through but he fired inches past the far post on the run. Jack tried his luck again shortly after when a corner from Mitchy was punched clear, Jack’s first left footed shot was well blocked and he was quickest to the rebound but his dipping right-footed shot went narrowly wide. From the goal-kick a long ball over the top sent the New Buckenham striker clear before squaring it into the path of a teammate but a brave challenge by Denver took the sting out of the shot and Loz gathered comfortably.

In the 20th minute Tyler and Charlie came on for Denver and Adam as Aylsham continued to dominate the game. Mitchy forced a good save from the New Buckenham keeper, shooting from distance to win a corner. From the set-piece Jude volleyed just wide. A slick move started by Charlie on the left moved the ball to Josh via a flick from Mitchy before a one-two with Jack sent Josh bursting into the box, but he couldn’t quite apply the finish that the build up deserved. With the break approaching Tyler halted a promising move to win back possession with Josh taking it forward before a slide-rule pass into Jack’s path but the keeper pulled off a fine reflex save to keep the ball out, and in the final attack of the half Jude fired just wide. Aylsham leading 5-0 at the break after a dominant first half display.

Aylsham kicked off the second period after two substitutions, Denver coming back on for Josh with Freddy returning up front to replace Alfie and within 2 minutes of the restart the number 9 had a sight of goal. A slick one-touch passing move between Denver, Jack and Jude led to a powerful shot from Freddy that the keeper tipped over brilliantly. From the corner Denver volleyed just wide as Aylsham carried on where they left off in the first half. Charlie stayed strong under pressure, beginning a move that resulted in Mitchy flashing a shot just wide. The home side didn’t have to wait long for their 6th goal after Jude drove forward before playing a lovely pass into the path of Freddy who cut inside his marker, drawing the keeper and poking it past him into the net in the 34th minute.

A burst forward and dangerous cross by Tyler was almost turned in at the back post by Ollie as the New Buckenham goal led a charmed life, Adam forcing another fine diving save shortly afterwards. A mazy run from Jack and lovely turn from Denver created an opportunity for Ollie to shoot, but he curled his shot just past the upright from outside the box.

In the 42nd minute Aylsham came close again after Loz picked out Tyler on the right who spotted Jaiden’s forward run. Jaiden received the ball just inside the visitor’s half, driving forward before crashing the ball left-footed off the post with the keeper beaten. Jack did well to stretch and intercept a drop-kick from the keeper in the 47th minute before having the ball played back to him by Denver. Jack feigned to shoot but instead unselfishly found Freddy in space in the box who blasted it home first-time to score Aylsham’s seventh goal, giving the keeper no chance. Two minutes later Freddy completed the second hat-trick of the game when the ball was cleared after striking the post. Tyler retrieved the ball moving it to Adam in turn finding Freddy in the box who beat his defender, finishing clinically with a left-footed shot. Freddy made way for Alfie to return and he was into the action immediately, heading just over from a perfect cross by Ollie.

In the 51st minute Aylsham scored again after Jack was first to a goal-kick, controlling well before playing a quick one-two with Josh who had come back into the fray for Adam. Another one-two between Jack and Denver created space to work the ball to Alfie on the edge of the area squaring it to Ollie to shoot. While the keeper parried the shot, the ball rebounded to Josh who took a touch to steady himself before blasting a right-footed shot into the top corner of the net to make it 9-0 to Aylsham. Jude and Mitchy came back on for the last few minutes for Denver and Ollie, the latter starting a move that resulted in a dangerous cross from Alfie that just evaded Josh and Jack. Shortly after, Mitchy turned provider again with a delivery that Jude volleyed just wide. With 3 minutes left Aylsham scored their 10th goal after Jude won the ball in midfield finding Alfie in space. The through-ball was played perfectly into Mitchy’s path and while his first effort was blocked, the ball came back to him and he made no mistake second time round with a fine right-footed finish. The last action of the game came after Charlie put in a solid tackle and cleared his lines finding Mitchy on the left who picked out Alfie who made space for the shot but drove just over from the edge of the area.
